The Radar Chart Filter
The centerpiece of the screener is an interactive radar chart with seven axes corresponding to the Apter factor dimensions: Growth, Profitability, Earnings Quality, Financial Strength, Valuation, Risk/Stability, and Momentum.
Drag the points on each axis to set minimum thresholds. Stocks that fall below any threshold are filtered out. This visual approach makes it intuitive to define a multi-dimensional investment profile.
Strategy Presets
Four built-in presets configure the radar chart for common investment approaches:
Balanced: Equal emphasis across all factors. A good starting point for general exploration.
High Growth: Prioritizes growth and momentum factors, relaxing valuation requirements. Suits investors seeking companies in expansion mode.
Value Play: Emphasizes valuation and financial strength while accepting lower momentum scores. Suits investors seeking undervalued, financially stable companies.
Quality: Prioritizes profitability and earnings quality. Suits investors seeking consistent, high-quality businesses regardless of current price.
Each preset can be further customized after selection.
Filters and Sorting
Beyond the radar chart, additional filters refine results:
Sector: Filter to a specific GICS sector (Technology, Healthcare, Financials, etc.).
Market Cap: Mega ($200B+), Large ($10-200B), Mid ($2-10B), Small ($300M-2B), Micro (under $300M).
Minimum Rating: Quick chips for ratings 5+, 6+, 7+, 8+ to focus on higher-conviction stocks.
Search: Direct ticker or company name lookup.
Results can be sorted by rating (ascending/descending), ticker alphabetically, or market cap.
Card vs. Table View
Two display modes are available. Card view shows a compact card per stock with ticker, name, price, rating badge, and a mini radar chart (for Standard+ subscribers) showing the factor profile.
Table view shows a sortable table with additional data columns, suitable for efficiently scanning a large number of results.
Both views link to the full stock detail page for deeper analysis.
