The Grounded Generation Approach
Unlike open-ended AI chatbots, Apter's AI analysis is constrained by a fact pack — a structured snapshot of real financial data assembled before the language model is invoked.
The process follows three steps:
1. Data Assembly: Real-time market data, fundamentals, rating breakdown, and recent news are collected from verified data sources.
2. Prompt Construction: The fact pack is inserted into a carefully designed prompt with strict formatting and compliance rules.
3. Generation + Validation: The AI produces analysis based only on the provided data, which then passes through compliance guardrails that scan for disallowed language (buy/sell recommendations, guarantees, forward-looking promises).
What AI Briefs Include
AI briefs typically cover market regime assessment (risk-on, risk-off, or transitional), sector performance and rotation patterns, key market drivers, and specific risk signals to monitor.
Stock-specific briefs include fundamental analysis tied to actual metrics, rating breakdown explanation, recent news contextualization, and monitoring points.
All analysis is attribution-heavy: every claim references specific data points from the fact pack.
What AI Briefs Do Not Include
By design, AI briefs never contain buy, sell, or hold recommendations. They do not include price targets, forward earnings estimates generated by the AI, guarantees of future performance, or claims about what the market will do.
This constraint is not a limitation — it is the feature. The briefs provide analysis and context; the decision-making remains yours.
Interpreting the Content
Treat AI briefs as one input alongside your own research. The brief surfaces patterns and contextualizes data, but it operates within the boundaries of its training data and the specific fact pack provided.
The AI model attribution (shown at the bottom of each brief) and validation status indicate which model generated the content and whether it passed all compliance checks. Articles that fail validation are not published.
